About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curatorial Assistant to join our Exhibitions department on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the curatorial team in the planning, organization, and delivery of Hayward exhibitions and other projects.
  • Assist in the development of exhibition concepts, proposals, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of exhibitions.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging and informative exhibition content, including labels, catalogues, and digital media.
  • Work closely with the exhibitions team to ensure the smooth operation of exhibitions, including installation, de-installation, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with artists, galleries, and other stakeholders to support the acquisition and exhibition of artworks.
  • Contribute to the development of the exhibitions program, including research, planning, and implementation.

The Exhibitions department at Southbank Centre is responsible for the planning, organization, and delivery of Hayward Gallery exhibitions. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that values creativity, innovation, and excellence.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as art history, curating, or museum studies.
  • Proven experience in curatorial or exhibitions work, preferably in a gallery or museum setting.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of art history, curatorial practices, and exhibitions management.
