Design Technology Technician Opportunity

We are partnering with a secondary school in Haringey, North London, to recruit a Design Technology Technician for the upcoming academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with the preparation and setup of practical lessons and projects.
  • Manage and maintain the DT workshop, equipment, and resources, ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to students during their design and construction processes.
  • Organise stock, monitor inventory, and order materials when needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging, hands-on activities that inspire creativity among students.
Requirements
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
  • Knowledge of 3D printing systems and techniques.
  • Experience handling various materials, including polymers, metals, and wood.
  • A passion for Design Technology and the ability to inspire students.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the maintenance and safe use of DT tools and equipment.
