Job Title: Placement Officer

We are seeking a skilled Placement Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a Placement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the council's eligibility criteria, policies, and procedures are followed in relation to service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive referrals and assessments from care managers and social workers for Service Users requiring services in a timely, professional, efficient, and positive manner.
  • Assess the needs and desired outcomes of Service Users and match these against an appropriate provision to identify the best value placement.
  • Make recommendations to social workers and ensure that the provider/organisation is fit for purpose and able to meet the needs of the Service User.
  • Ensure notifications of service changes are made to the Finance department to ensure financial assessments are undertaken of the Service User for calculation of contribution to the cost of the care package.
Requirements:
  • Experience of using computer packages and undertaking administrative tasks.
  • Experience of negotiating agreements or contracts.
  • Previous experience of a customer-focused environment.
  • Evidence of continued professional and personal development.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High-level education, A levels as a minimum.

Please note that occasional weekend work may be required, and the rota will be Monday and Tuesday on Week one and then Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday on Week two. The average working hours are 18 hours per week, with a working time of 08:45am – 17:00pm.
