Data Analytics Engineer

London - Hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the City of London)

Salary: £65,000 + 15% annual bonus

A global leader in the insurance industry is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to play a key role in their data transformation journey. This role is heavily focused on Power BI development and is part of an Agile team dedicated to building cutting-edge data visualization products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of data products using Power BI and data modeling techniques.
  • Work in an Agile squad, driving the delivery of data products within the context of an Agile DevOps workflow.
  • Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to ensure structured and standardized data visualizations.
  • Apply engineering standards and best practices to create scalable and maintainable data products.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to design methodologies.
  • Deliver high-quality data products for the finance and underwriting squads, particularly focused on reinsurance.

Requirements:

  • Senior-level experience in Microsoft Power BI and data modeling.
  • Proven ability to drive the development and delivery of data visualization products in a structured and standardized way.
  • Experience working in Agile workflows and within DevOps teams.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards and best practices in data product development.
  • Previous experience working within financial services, insurance, or reinsurance sectors is a plus.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with data architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
