Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Characterization Engineer to join our team at ENGIE. As a key member of our Radioprotection, Radwaste and Decommissioning Competence Centre, you will be responsible for conducting radiological characterization studies and developing strong capabilities with computer codes such as MicroShield, MCNP, and RayXpert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct radiological characterization studies according to the needs and expertise level expected by dedicated authorities.
  • Develop and apply strong capabilities with computer codes such as MicroShield, MCNP, and RayXpert.
  • Write technical specifications and follow-up of orders for the procurement of measurement systems and radiological campaigns.
  • Develop a strong expertise in the field of radiological characterization based on national and international references.
  • Share knowledge and experience with clients and colleagues to ensure alignment concerning work to be realized and setting the right expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge, expertise, and methodologies required to accomplish missions.
  • Deliver 'quality on time': in order to achieve this objective, you will get all support required in terms of technical training, coaching, and availability of (IT) resources.
  • Verify work performed by colleagues guarantying the expected high quality level.
  • Correctly apply the Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures.
  • Provide regular feedback concerning ongoing activities to team lead and hierarchy, while working autonomously towards goals defined for you.
  • Identify and implement possible synergies with other teams and/or CC's.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical bids.
  • Provide (internal) presentations and trainings.
  • Participate actively to regular meetings with colleagues during which workload, technical issues, project follow-up, development strategy, and transversal activity coordination are discussed.
