About Broad Oak Properties

Broad Oak Properties is a leading supplier in the decarbonisation of domestic and commercial properties, with a strong focus on energy saving boilers, renewable heating systems, solar PV, and insulation. We have secured £150 million of funding over the next 3 years to deliver these products and are looking for an experienced Buyer/Purchasing Manager to work across our group of companies.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Buyer/Purchasing Manager to manage the end-to-end purchasing process, maintain and analyse supplier performance, and negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers. The successful candidate will work closely with other teams to determine needs, specifications, and timelines for various projects and identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and other criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the purchasing process from start to finish
  • Analyse supplier performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms
  • Work with other teams to determine project needs and specifications
  • Evaluate and analyse usage, cost, and performance data
  • Support the development of procurement strategies to enhance overall supply performance and reduce costs
  • Stay informed about market trends and industry best practices
  • Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and internal departments
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Buyer
  • Supply chain knowledge in the building sector
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
