Fetal Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fetal Sonographer to lead our Fetal Medicine Service at OneWelbeck Women's Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality fetal ultrasound service and patient care that meets the needs of our patients and referrers.
Key Responsibilities- Service Delivery: Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a high-quality fetal ultrasound service, meeting the needs of patients and referrers.
- Leadership: Act as the lead radiographer sonographer/midwife sonographer, maintaining standards, managing and providing direction to staff, and advising users, patients, and colleagues.
- Scanning and Reporting: Perform and independently report fetal ultrasound scans, utilizing your expertise to provide accurate and timely results.
- Training and Development: Coordinate the training and supervision of sonography students, ensuring they receive the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the lead clinician and centre director to develop the fetal medicine service, strategy, planning, and development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Qualifications: Registered Midwife with the NMC or Registered Radiographer with the HCPC, BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or BSc (Hons) Midwifery (or equivalent), and a Master's degree or working towards.
- Experience: Post Graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound with extensive post graduate clinical experience in fetal ultrasound at Band 7 level, teaching and assessing qualification, and evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD).
- Skills and Abilities: Computer literate, sound knowledge of clinical ultrasound and interpretation of complex information, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
