Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary Public Health Leadership Professional to lead our pioneering efforts in adopting place-based approaches that prioritise community involvement and empowerment. This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished individual to join our dynamic team in Peterborough City Council.

About the Role

This role will report to the Executive Director of Adults Services, whilst working closely with the Chief Executive and Corporate Leadership team. As our new Director of Public Health, you will be responsible for delivering excellent public health services for Peterborough residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing public health leadership for our work with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board, the North Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Care Partnership, and other health partners.
  • Collaborating closely with all key partners to improve health outcomes, including the Police, Fire, the Combined Authority, and the voluntary sector.
  • Aligning efforts to maximise impact and foster synergy across our footprint.
Benefits and Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including:
