About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Ward Sister to join our team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a key member of our neonatal team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses in our Level 3 Bliss accredited tertiary neonatal intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for caring for some of the most complex and pioneering medical cases, including total body cooling, HFOV, Nitric Oxide Therapy, and Laser ROP. You will also have access to extended role development in retrieval and neonatal life support, as well as rotational opportunities in Neonatal Outreach, Family Integrated and developmental care, Infant feeding, Education, and Research teams.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with significant demonstrable experience within specialty in level 3 NICU, with evidence of professional development. You will also need to have a BSc Degree in a relevant field, post-reg qualifications for specialty area, and leadership development programme. A teaching qualification and experience, as well as an accredited NMC before mentorship course, are also essential.
