Job Title: Senior Linux Engineer

About the Role:
As a Senior Linux Engineer at u-blox, you will play a key role in the development, integration, and maintenance of our cloud and on-premises services, systems, and infrastructures. You will work closely with our internal teams and external consultants to design, implement, and optimize our Linux solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security, performance, and scalability.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement Linux architectures that meet company guidelines, security standards, and best practices.
  2. Assist in the development of patch strategies for related systems and technologies, including designing, implementing, testing, and documenting new solutions.
  3. Analyze and optimize the performance of Linux solutions, identifying areas for improvement and developing global roadmaps for relevant technologies and processes.
  4. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and develop support materials for teams that will support the solution.
  5. Manage IT requests and incidents, ensuring security and compliance in cooperation with our security team.
  6. Collaborate with external consultants on configuration, customization, and integration.
  7. Create and maintain technical documentation and assist with training and related materials as needed.

Your Skills and Experience:
  1. 8+ years of experience working with Linux in an engineering role.
  2. Knowledge of configuration management tools like Foreman, Satellite, Orcharhino, and Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console.
  3. Experience and knowledge within the cloud space, preferably with AWS.
  4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects in a multinational environment.
  5. Experience with automation using Ansible.
  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  7. Experience in end-user training and support.

Bonus Points:
  1. Experience with Red Hat and Ubuntu, with knowledge of Microsoft servers/clients a plus.
  2. Certifications in Linux and AWS a plus.
