This is a challenging and rewarding role within Dundee City Council, where you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the delivery of mechanical services. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of mechanical services, including advice, design, project administration, and maintenance, to the Council and its service departments, and to external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of professionals in the delivery of mechanical services, including advice, design, project administration, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of mechanical services.
- Work closely with the Architectural Service Manager to ensure the delivery of mechanical services meets the needs of the Council and its service departments.
- Manage and coordinate the work of a team of professionals, including engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Develop and manage budgets for mechanical services projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including CDM 2015.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Relevant experience of the design and implementation of architectural/building construction projects.
- Experience of management of projects and staff.
- AutoCAD skills and project management experience, including budgeting processes.
- Experience of partnering, project programming, and JCT forms of contract.
- Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and its application.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, including Office 365, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Effective time management skills to achieve project objectives.
- Good negotiating skills at all levels.
- Ability to work with people in other professional disciplines.
- Ability to deal directly with clients.
- Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards and statutory requirements.
- Presentation skills.
- Ability to undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height, confined spaces, etc.
