About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Holkham House, a specialist residential service for men and women with learning disabilities, including autism and sensory and communication impairments.

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager to lead the nursing team in providing high-quality care and support to our service users. You will be responsible for empowering recovery, delivering supervision to staff, and co-ordinating the on-call service.

You will work closely with the senior Nurse and Ward Manager to manage the ward budgets and lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team. You will also be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives for the better.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Home Manager to prepare for contract reviews and represent the organisation in respect of service delivery.
  • Support the Home Manager to create, maintain and enhance productive working relationships within the home.
  • Ensure the appropriate number and skill mix of staff on duty at any given time subject to company protocol and the needs of the service users.
  • Plan, implement and monitor the Person Centred Approach to care within the home.
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or willing to work towards.
  • An excellent track record in a senior role within the healthcare sector.
  • An understanding of learning disabilities, epilepsy and sensory processing issues.
  • A passion for improving clinical quality and care.
  • Strong leadership skills.
