Job Title: Electrical Shift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical engineer to join our team in a critical environment facility in Hertfordshire. This role involves maintaining the operational reliability of essential systems and ensuring the facility's infrastructure is running efficiently and safely.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing regular maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems and equipment in a critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the integrity of electrical systems and equipment in a critical environment.
  • Conducting scheduled PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance on electrical assets, including UPS systems, generators, and HV/LV distribution systems.
  • Supporting system upgrades, refurbishments, and project installations as required.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics, safety inspections, and environmental conditions, ensuring all relevant documentation is complete.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
  • Experience working in a critical environment, such as data centres, hospitals, or secure facilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve complex electrical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns and respond to emergencies outside standard hours.
