About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Membership Experience Host to join our team at Everlast Gyms in Halifax. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our members and guests.

Main Responsibilities
  • Member Experience: Maximize every member and guest's experience in our club, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their visit.
  • Sales and Retention: Support the sales and retention of memberships through excellent customer service, building strong relationships with our members and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
  • Club Maintenance: Contribute to the cleaning and hygiene standards of the club, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our members and guests.
  • Key Holder: Act as a competent key holder of the club, covering shifts as required and ensuring the smooth operation of the club.
  • Membership Software: Have a good understanding of our membership software system, using it to manage member data and provide excellent customer service.
  • Fitness Challenges: Ensure you are up to date with current fitness challenges, class descriptions, and gym floor focus, taking part in these initiatives to enhance the member experience.
  • Support the Fitness Manager: Work closely with the Fitness Manager to support the gym floor and ensure the smooth operation of the club.
  • Product Knowledge: Ensure you have experienced the products and services on offer, providing expert advice to our members and guests.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Take an active role in maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities, ensuring they are always above expectation.
  • KPI Targets: Drive secondary spend KPI targets, working closely with the team to achieve sales and revenue goals.
  • Member Complaints: Competently deal with member complaints, ensuring the relevant manager is made aware and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Outgoing Personality: Be of an outgoing personality, with a positive mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Administrative Skills: Be competent with all administrative duties, using technology to enhance the member experience.
  • Driven and Ambitious: Be driven and ambitious, with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviours and competencies specific to the role.
  • Learning and Development: Be willing and able to participate in learning and development opportunities, to progress both your competencies and career.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible, willing to work shifts to suit the needs of the business and take on additional duties where required to support your team members.
  • Target Focused: Be target-focused, supporting the club with sales and retention towards achieving success for the business.
