Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bladder and Bowel Lead Nurse to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a key member of our community nursing service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex bladder and bowel needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have significant clinical experience in bladder and bowel health at a senior level, with a strong background in leadership and management. You will be responsible for working closely with our integrated rapid response teams, community matrons, and social service colleagues to ensure seamless care to our patient group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to housebound patients with complex bladder and bowel needs.
  • Assist the Community Nursing Team Manager in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual programmes of care.
  • Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Manage complex clinical cases and assess risk to ensure timely interventions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 with current NMC Registration.
  • Recognised continence/bladder and bowel health qualification or training.
  • Significant clinical experience in bladder and bowel health at a senior level.
  • Leadership and managerial ability to run the service.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good time management and willingness to work and travel within the geographical area of service.
