About the Role

Livewell Southwest CIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct statutory assessments under the Mental Health Act, working closely with the Local Authority and other mental health services.
  • Contribute to the overall work of the team, providing support and guidance to individuals with complex mental health difficulties.
  • Work closely with our Police colleagues in the Joint Response Unit vehicle, providing acute assessment and care to individuals experiencing mental health crisis in the community.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to other mental health and social care services as required.
  • Work across a 24/7 shift pattern and contribute to the on-call rota.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Knowledge of Mental Health legislation, codes of practice, and other relevant legislation.
  • Experience of coordinating and carrying out Mental Health Act Assessments in a range of settings.
  • Experience of working in a mental health service and/or setting.
  • Experience of working with a range of adults experiencing mental health crisis/difficulties.
