The Role
As a Yard Operative at Lawsons, you will be working in the yard and warehouse, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack products for customers and suppliers.
- Ensure stock is replenished, rotated, and merchandised to meet customer needs.
- Safe and secure packing and loading of products onto vehicles.
- Accurately complete all paperwork and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and attention in the yard.
- Unloading and checking of received deliveries into the yard.
- Efficient and safe storage of received deliveries into appropriate locations.
- Maintain yard standards and report any issues to management.
- Correct reporting and management of damaged or compromised products.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a yard at a builders' merchant.
- A valid forklift license and up-to-date training certificate.
- Positive attitude, good product knowledge, and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
