Job Title: Project Electrical Technician

Mammoet Offshore Services is seeking a skilled Project Electrical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for the safe and successful setup and execution of multi-discipline projects involving electrical systems, winches, hydraulic jacking, skidding, and lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unpacking, setup, installation, operation, and maintenance of Mammoet Offshore Services equipment, including strand jacks, diesel-driven hydraulic power units, ballast pumps, winches, hydraulic jacks, and weighing equipment.
  • Wiring and testing of electrical systems, including new installations and refurbishments.
  • Repair and fault-finding of electrical systems.
  • Rigging and general lifting of equipment.
  • Supporting the packing and unpacking of containers in accordance with detailed packing lists.
  • Completing post-operation equipment maintenance checks.
  • Maintenance, preparation, and packing of equipment in the Middlesbrough yard in readiness for mobilization to a project.
  • Traveling to a wide range of project sites worldwide, both onshore and offshore.
  • Reporting directly to the Foreman and Supervisor on site and the personnel planner in the office.
  • Reading, understanding, and working to site and project-specific method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and engineering drawings.
  • Filling out project documentation, including equipment pre-use check sheets, maintenance records, and daily site reports.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with legal, company, and client safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with and proactively promoting safe working principles, good working practices, wearing of correct PPE, good housekeeping, reporting of safety observations, near misses, and incidents.
  • Participating in the company's in-house training scheme for our specialist equipment, as well as relevant third-party courses.
Requirements:
  • Electrical City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or similar qualification.
  • Working with low-voltage and ELV systems and experience with their applications.
  • Ability to wire and test electrical systems, read and understand electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and fault-finding.
  • Willingness and capability to learn operation and maintenance of Mammoet's specialist equipment.
  • Willingness to travel and work within and outside the UK for extensive periods, including some offshore working.
  • Current valid driving license.
  • Current valid passport (no restrictions).
