Job Summary
As a Pediatric Dietitian - Clinical Therapeutic Specialist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based dietetic services to children in a clinical, special schools, and home-based settings. You will work closely with the Paediatric Nutrition & Dietetic Service colleagues to ensure the dietetic service provided to children is of the highest standard.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic dietary advice to paediatric patients with nutrition-related diseases, their carers, and other health professionals regarding the management and care of their diagnosis in Primary Care.
- Demonstrate good negotiation skills, across a range of issues, with service users and professional teams, including multidisciplinary review sessions.
- Regard the health and well-being of the child with the utmost importance and plan appropriate and effective nutrition interventions for children of all ages.
- Understand the differing physiological and psychological needs of children of all ages and target nutrition interventions accordingly.
- Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by using evidence-based practice in providing appropriate interventions and evaluating outcomes.

Key Requirements
- Post-registration clinical dietetic experience.
- Experience of providing dietetic advice for children (age 0-18).
- Excellent written, verbal, and IT skills to communicate with colleagues and clients regarding patient care and project outcomes.
- Advanced motivational skills to facilitate individual client and group treatment plans.
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills to empower children and their families to adopt healthier lifestyles.
