About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Care Officer to join our team at Dundee City Council. As a Social Care Officer, you will play a vital role in providing residential support to looked-after young people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and maintaining a high-quality care environment that promotes the safety and security of children and young people.
- Support young people to make use of services and information to their full advantage.
- Assist in promoting effective communication with children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families and carers.
- Contribute to a team environment that promotes high standards of care.
Requirements:
- Hold a 3 National 4s or equivalent qualification.
- Have the ability to undertake relevant HNC and SVQ3 qualifications.
- Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week on a scheduled rota. You will be required to work a three-shift system, including waking nights.
