Job Title: Swimming Instructor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team at Mytime Active. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to a wide range of ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver swimming lessons to a wide range of ages and abilities
  • Ensure an enjoyable and efficient delivery of the 'Learn to Swim' Programme
  • Assess participant ability and development and trigger movements of participants who are ready to progress
  • Manage and complete registers, highlighting any issues or concerns to reception
  • Take reasonable care of equipment issued by Mytime Active and report any faults or maintenance issues
  • Direct customers/parents/guardians who have queries or wish to make a complaint to reception
  • Contribute to future L2S developments or improvements and provide feedback to the swimming coordinator
  • Be responsible for and promote the good conduct and safe use by all participants whilst they are on the pool surround and in the water
  • Take reasonable care of your personal, other employees and participants health and safety and cooperate with management
  • Be aware of and abide to all MTA policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate and promote commitment to MTA's values and objectives
  • Follow and promote MTA's Safeguarding policies and procedures and report any child protection matters to the designated safeguarding lead
  • Attend MTA workforce development sessions and adhere to any workforce development requirements

Requirements:

  • Significant work experience within the swimming pool environment
  • Hold an ASA or Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
  • Hold a NRASTC or NPLQ qualification or be willing to undertake the qualification
  • Other qualifications such as Adult and Baby, Stage 8-10 or other aquatic disciplines would be desirable
