Career Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Management Specialist to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. As an Energy Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the complex energy demands of our property portfolio comprising 60 properties including 3 major hospitals. Your role will support the Energy & Carbon Manager in providing professional energy and utility management throughout all Health Board premises.

About Us: Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family. Our Health Board provides primary, secondary, and community health and wellbeing services to around 450,000 people living in three County Boroughs: Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and Bridgend. We pride ourselves on being a local employer with approximately 80% of our 15,000 workforce residing within our region.

Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Energy Manager to identify, implement, and manage energy conservation programs. You will also be responsible for supporting regulatory compliance and matters related to the Environment Agency's Energy Efficiency Scheme and other Government directives. Additionally, you will provide utility data validation processing and analysis to inform business decisions.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must possess relevant experience in electrical/mechanical engineering or a related field. A City and Guilds qualification or equivalent is preferred. Proficiency in Building Management Systems and database/spreadsheet literacy is essential. Experience working in a healthcare environment on electrical and mechanical services is also required. The estimated salary range for this position is £30,000 - £40,000.
