About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team as a Consultant Psychiatrist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychiatric rehabilitation expertise to our Outreach and Recovery Team (ORT). You will also be working closely with our inpatient rehabilitation team at Cefn Yr Afon Unit.

The successful candidate will have comprehensive training and experience in psychiatry, including higher training experience and approved clinician approval. You will be expected to provide clinical psychiatric rehabilitation expertise and leadership, as well as assess and manage patients aged 18 and over with mental health problems.

You will play an active role in education and training, maintaining your professional knowledge base through continuing professional development (CPD) and participating in the Wales Revalidation Process. Additionally, you will be part of the consultant on-call rota within the Mental Health Directorate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical psychiatric rehabilitation expertise and leadership
  • Assess and manage patients aged 18 and over with mental health problems
  • Play an active role in education and training
  • Participate in CPD and revalidation processes

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive training and experience in psychiatry
  • Higher training experience in psychiatry
  • Approved Clinician Approval

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum
