Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Resident Engagement Facilitator to join our team at Homeless Link in East London. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with residents, promoting social and life skills through engaging activities and events.

Main Duties:
  • To plan, deliver and evaluate activities that meet the diverse needs of residents, working closely with Key Workers and other stakeholders.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with local community partners, identifying opportunities for collaborative working and enhanced services.
  • To produce promotional materials and communicate information about available activities, encouraging resident participation and engagement.
  • To contribute to team meetings, resident gatherings and feedback sessions, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive positive change.
Key Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and address the complexities of homelessness, mental health and addiction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and relationship-building with residents and staff.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and maintaining a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, facilitating clear and concise communication.
