Business Development Manager

J N Technical is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion in the rail sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering competitive solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the rail sector, including tenders and partnerships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Liaise with the pre-construction team in the preparation and submission of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals that meet client requirements.
- Work closely with technical, commercial, and project teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and client expectations.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to identify potential growth areas and risks.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company and build contacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales forecasts, and pipeline status.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall revenue growth strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients and partners.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role in the rail sector.
- Strong understanding of the rail industry, including key players, market trends, and regulations.
