Business Development Manager

J N Technical is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion in the rail sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering competitive solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the rail sector, including tenders and partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Liaise with the pre-construction team in the preparation and submission of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Work closely with technical, commercial, and project teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and client expectations.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to identify potential growth areas and risks.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company and build contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales forecasts, and pipeline status.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall revenue growth strategy.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients and partners.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role in the rail sector.
  • Strong understanding of the rail industry, including key players, market trends, and regulations.
  • Established network of contacts within the rail industry.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and preparing commercial proposals.
