Senior Laboratory Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Analyst to join our team at Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and developing new test methods.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in a world-class refinery with state-of-the-art facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in science, excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience working with laboratory equipment.

• Conduct laboratory tests on process feedstocks, intermediates, finished products, and environmental samples
• Maintain, calibrate, and prepare secondary working standards for equipment
• Develop and write new test methods and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to manage samples, test results, and quality

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of A Level or equivalent in science, with higher qualifications advantageous
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Familiarity with internationally recognized Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems
• IT literacy, with expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
