Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hinkley Point C, a major nuclear power plant project in the UK. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage electrical components and systems, including cable trays, cables, cabinets, and sensors.
  • Coordinate with staff in back-offices to resolve requests and challenges related to electrical parts.
  • Approve updates to deliverables and ensure continuity and consistency of design.
  • Comply with methods, referential, tools, process, and delegated authority from back-office teams.
  • Represent the interests of the Responsible Designer in the JDO on a daily basis.
Requirements:
  • Science, Electrical engineering degree.
  • Experience in Electrical design, with a minimum of 5 years in specification, design, procurement, and installation of electrical components.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, conscientiousness, and quality awareness.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in producing technical documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, think clearly and objectively, and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Field experience.
  • Knowledge of RCC-E code.
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D design software.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of the HPC project or previous EPR and associated studies/doctrine is a real asset.
