Senior Safety and Learning Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety and Learning Advisor to join our team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our Safety and Learning Function, you will play a critical role in driving the Enhancing Learning Organisations programme and supporting the application of Putting Things Right principles throughout NHS Wales.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in safety and learning, with experience in developing and implementing effective safety and quality management systems. You will be responsible for leading on areas of our portfolio and working closely with our teams to ensure compliance with performance, quality, and improvement targets, as well as strategic objectives.

We are looking for someone who is highly developed in communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal staff and external agencies. You will be adaptable, agile, and flexible, with a passion for being part of a learning organisation that prioritises safety, transparency, and openness.

As a Senior Safety and Learning Advisor, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the safety and quality of our services, while also contributing to the development of our teams and the organisation as a whole. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on areas of our portfolio, including the Enhancing Learning Organisations programme and the application of Putting Things Right principles
  • Develop and implement effective safety and quality management systems
  • Work closely with our teams to ensure compliance with performance, quality, and improvement targets, as well as strategic objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on safety and quality management
  • Contribute to the development of our teams and the organisation as a whole
