Nursery Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to join our team at a thriving Preparatory School in the Southampton area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Nursery, delivering exceptional Early Years education, and playing a pivotal role in the ongoing development and expansion of the Nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Nursery
  • Deliver exceptional Early Years education
  • Line manage the Deputy Nursery Manager and other Early Years Practitioners
  • Be a confident leader and team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for supporting staff development
  • Be highly organised and able to juggle competing demands
  • Inspire the confidence of parents and carers

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education as a minimum
  • GCSE grade 4 (old grade C) or above in Maths and English
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership/management experience in a Nursery
  • Minimum 5 years Early Years experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance
  • Knowledge of and track record of delivering outstanding learning opportunities and outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of and commitment to creating a safeguarding culture, health and safety culture, and inclusion culture, and a culture of continuous development and staff training
