About the Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day finance processes and month-end close process. This position involves managing a team of finance professionals, implementing process improvements, and ensuring financial controls are adhered to across all transactions.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance operations team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Ensure team performance aligns with company goals.
  • Month-End Close: Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring that all financial data is accurately reconciled and reported in a timely manner. This includes journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Financial Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and banking processes, ensuring they run efficiently and accurately.
  • SaaS Billing & Revenue Management: Oversee SaaS-specific billing cycles, subscription renewals, and ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and implement improvements, including the automation of manual tasks using appropriate financial tools and software.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure all financial operations comply with local tax, regulatory, and legal requirements. Lead efforts around any audits or tax filings, including VAT submission.
  • Financial Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with policies and minimise risk.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring contracts and terms are optimised and payments are managed in line with cash flow planning.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and business decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to ensure alignment of financial operations with business needs, especially regarding subscription billing and customer payments.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
