We are seeking a dedicated and caring Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive secondary school community in Plymouth.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies to meet each student's specific needs.
- Work closely with teachers to support classroom activities and manage behaviour effectively.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, contributing to student reports and reviews.
- Facilitate the inclusion of SEN students in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities and social interactions.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one.
- Must Provide 2 relevant professional references.
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting student development.
