Job Title: KS2 Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable Primary School in Preston. The successful candidate will provide academic learning support to small groups of pupils in Y5, targeting and bridging gaps in learning for English and Maths in Key Stage 2.

About the Role:

This is a wonderful opportunity to work alongside lower and higher attaining pupils to close gaps in learning. The Headteacher is keen to provide tailored support and give each child the opportunity to succeed. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children and have excellent knowledge of Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic learning support to small groups of pupils in Y5
  • Target and bridge gaps in learning for English and Maths in Key Stage 2
  • Work alongside lower and higher attaining pupils to close gaps in learning
  • Follow the teachers' planned interventions and work confidently alongside children working at varying capabilities
