We are seeking a skilled Food Production Operative to join our team at Meriden Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times, and report any near misses or accidents.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Follow company food safety and quality procedures at all times, and escalate any food safety near misses or issues.
  • Machine Inspection: Carry out machine inspections throughout the shift and report any deficiencies or defects to the Technical Operator or Team Leader.
  • Production Schedule: Follow the production schedule to fulfill daily/weekly production plans on time and communicate the schedule with team members.
  • Material Supply: Keep all lines supplied with material continuously throughout the production run.
  • Changeovers: Follow changeover schedules set by the Technical Operator or Team Leader, and ensure adherence to task-related SOPs.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify any issues that could impact production performance and seek to resolve them using practical problem-solving methods.
  • Paperwork: Complete paperwork on time and in full, which forms a key part of our traceability system.
Requirements
  • Experience: Food manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Personal Qualities: We are looking for someone who is open and honest, has integrity, and is willing to learn and develop.
  • Teamwork: A positive "Can Do" attitude, a willingness to embrace new ways of working, and a strong work ethic are essential.
