Job Title: Enabling Independence Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Enabling Independence Officer to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of an Occupational Therapy Equipment/Minor Adaptations Trusted Assessor Framework in South West London.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with the Lead Occupational Therapist - Trusted Assessor Delivery, and Partners across South West London (SWL) to implement the framework and provide peer support to Trusted Assessors.
  • To maximise an individual's potential independence by undertaking assessment, recommendations, rehabilitation techniques, equipment, adaptations, support planning and review for vulnerable and disabled people in the community.
  • To have excellent knowledge of the equipment and adaptations prescribed by Trusted Assessors in Health & Social Care.
  • To work well as part of a team, and be able to problem solve and promote authentic engagement with Trusted Assessors.
  • To work with partner agencies as applicable, ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are carried out to professional standards in accordance with the Council's policies, procedures and legislative framework.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 or demonstrate relevant experience of working with vulnerable people/families/carers.
  • Trusted Assessor accreditation at minimum level 3.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date techniques and equipment available to meet the needs of people with disabilities and carers.
