We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at Allied Bakeries in Newcastle-under-Lyme. As a key member of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular inspections and maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on vehicles and equipment using a range of tools and techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid HGV Licence (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Have a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair principles.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
