About the Opportunity

The Repository Infrastructure Framework is a significant engineering, design, and construction project being delivered on the Nuclear Waste Services Low Level Waste Repository site at Drigg in Cumbria. As a key member of the construction team, you will play a crucial role in delivering several projects/sub-contracts on the LLWR site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the engineering quality of project delivery, adhering to client specifications and engineering standards, working closely with the Construction Project Manager to manage scope changes, time, and cost constraints.
  • Collaborate with the client to maintain the technical quality of all construction work and associated quality and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and applicable legislation.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide construction advice to those reviews.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients.
  • Ensure the requirements of the Health & Safety of Work act, CDM, Machineries Directive, and the COSHH regulations are understood and complied with.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure safe, effective project delivery to time and cost.
  • Responsibility for the on-site delivery of construction projects and tasks across the Contract Framework.
  • Engage with stakeholders and clients to develop and maintain appropriate measures and delivery methodologies.
  • Ensure the incorporation of 'best practice' and LFE into the framework/project/task delivery.
  • Coordinate with the construction PM with regards to resourcing/recruitment needs, including participation in candidate interviews, candidate selection, and approval process.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Construction experience in a Nuclear environment.
  • Familiarity with working under NEC contracts.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Construction.
  • Able to communicate effectively and develop relationships with all levels of the business and external organisations.
