We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Imaging Physics team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Scientist, you will play a key role in providing scientific support to our clinical services, ensuring the safe and effective use of medical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide scientific and technical support to clinical services, including quality assurance testing and analysis of diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Work closely with the Clinical Engineering team to ensure the safe and effective use of medical devices and equipment.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams to improve the safety of medical devices across the Trust.
- Good Honours degree in a relevant subject, such as Medical Physics or a related field.
- Relevant MSc or higher degree, or equivalent experience.
- Registered Clinical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Corporate Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with quality assurance testing and analysis of diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to present scientific papers at national and international conferences.
- Ability to assist with training and education of other staff groups.
Full-time, permanent contract.
Location:Churchill Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT.
Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro rata.
