Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2 with Autism and behavioural needs at our inclusive and welcoming primary school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised support for a child with Autism and behavioural challenges in KS2.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Assist in managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
  • Promote social and academic development through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
  • Foster a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
  • Experience working with children with Autism and/or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
  • Patience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations.
  • Flexible and proactive attitude, with a commitment to supporting the child's well-being and progress.
  • Willingness to work closely within a team and follow the school's ethos of inclusion and care.
