Scientific Research Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at The John Innes Centre, conducting innovative research into circadian clocks in bacteria and plants.
About the Position- This role involves conducting experimental investigations, planning experiments, and performing lab tasks under supervision.
- The successful candidate will contribute to writing research papers, provide data, and seek advice from project partners and collaborators.
- Key responsibilities also include collaborating with others on related projects and international project collaborators.
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or microbiology.
- Detailed knowledge of molecular biology and microbiology laboratory techniques.
- Desirable: experience in chronobiology research.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
The John Innes Centre offers an annual salary of £28,550-£35,500, dependent on qualifications and experience, along with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
