About the Role:
The Service Delivery Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of train services at Great Western Railway (GWR) stations. As a key member of the stations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the safe and punctual departure of trains, and maintaining a clean and secure environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide the highest levels of customer service and be proactive in meeting customer needs
- Ensure the safe and efficient dispatch of train services, following correct procedures
- Provide information and assistance to customers
- Ensure the safety of customers, staff, visitors, and contractors is given the highest priority
- Ensure the cleanliness of all areas of the station, including toilets, waiting rooms, platforms, stairs, and subways
- Liaise with other key GWR departments to ensure accurate and timely information is given to customers, especially in times of service disruption
Requirements:
- Able to deliver exceptional front-line customer service
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Confident when making decisions
- Able to remain calm yet directive in a crisis
- Able to work to strict procedures
Working Pattern:
The role requires shift working, including weekend and bank holidays, and covers 24 hours, 7 days a week on a rolling roster pattern.
Additional Information:
Candidates successfully shortlisted will be invited to undertake an online ability test and interview. The successful candidate will be expected to meet the criteria of a safety-critical medical, including color vision, as well as a drugs and alcohol screen.
