Job Title: Specialist Mental Health Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Mental Health Dietitian to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a Specialist Mental Health Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing a client-centred dietetic service to a defined caseload of service users within our forensic services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide a client-centred dietetic service to a defined caseload of service users.
  • Work under the supervision of a Clinical Lead Dietitian to apply clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Experience in clinical data collection and auditing.
Requirements:
  • B.Sc. (in Dietetics or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics.
  • British Dietetic Association course in Mental Health or similar.
  • Ability to travel independently in accordance with Trust policies and service need.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working with service users with mental health conditions or learning disabilities.
  • Experience of working in a community team on an outpatient basis.
  • Ability to deliver Clinical Supervision to junior staff.
Personal Qualities:
  • Able to work flexibly and co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Good observational skills and ability to describe such observations verbally and in writing.
  • Committed to continual quality and service improvement.
