Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Theatre Support Worker to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Theatre Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the theatre area, scrub room, and exit rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of materials and equipment in each theatre area.
- Prepare packs, set up trolleys, and setup theatres for scrub teams.
- Act as a circulating assistant during operative procedures and deal with specimens and measurement of urine and blood loss.
- Set up theatre for the following day's list, ensuring instruments, trays, etc. are available.
- Receive and identify patients for clinical/operative procedures and support them while in the Anaesthetic Room prior to surgery.
- Ensure all relevant information is recorded on the computerized patient information sheet.
- Promote and maintain safety and security of the environment by adhering to theatre protocols and policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
