The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff rota, ensuring effective management and adherence to e-rostering standards. This will involve being available for on-call duties.
As a highly visible role model, mentor, and leader, the individual will create a culture that promotes learning, development, inquiry, and professionalism. They will celebrate achievements and share learning to benefit the ward, hospital, and wider division.
The successful candidate will take appropriate action to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care. This will involve actively leading on the recruitment and retention of staff to the ward and hospital.
Additionally, the individual will undertake and complete clinical investigations, complaints, and HR investigations, ensuring they are thorough, prompt, and of high standard.
They will also be responsible for ensuring that legislative frameworks regarding the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberties are applied in accordance with Company Policy and National Requirements.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for Medicines Management in their Clinical Area or Ward, ensuring that all Registered Nurses undergo competency-based assessments as part of their induction and facilitating an open and transparent framework for managing medicine errors.
Requirements- Be currently registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council as a first-level nurse or with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting.
- Appropriate registration or experience required for the ward.
- Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development relevant to your area of practice in management and leadership.
