We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and be able to provide tailored support to meet their physical, emotional, and educational needs.

The Role:

As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support to students with PMLD, including assistance with daily living tasks, communication, and mobility.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Working closely with therapists, medical professionals, and other specialists to provide holistic support and promote student well-being.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, providing regular feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.

For this rewarding opportunity, we offer a competitive salary of £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience), as well as the chance to work with a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for supporting individuals with PMLD.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children or young people with PMLD.
  • A patient, empathetic approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. All candidates must undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
