About the Position

This is a fully funded project for 2 years, including PhD fees, for a doctor in training interested in a career in academic dermatology to undertake a PhD. We are interested in rare genetic skin diseases, including ichthyosis, palmoplantar keratoderma, and epidermolysis bullosa. You will work on a project involving the Human Pediatric Skin Atlas, which will involve recruitment of patients, patient and public engagement, and the use of cutting-edge omics technology and cell biology to explore the effect of loss of basement membrane collagens on the nucleus and discover new therapeutic targets for improved patient care.

About You

As a doctor in training, you will have at least completed FY2 and be interested in histology, in vivo work, data analysis, and acquiring skills such as coding and bioinformatics. You will be organised, able to prioritise your workload, and have excellent communication skills.
