Electrical Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Realise Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical control systems engineering, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in PLC programming, logic control, HMI interfacing, script writing, and debugging. You will be responsible for managing the implementation of control logic to the CAPEX Washline Project, as well as commissioning the project and developing our current systems in the US.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop electrical control systems for our clients
  2. Manage the implementation of control logic to the CAPEX Washline Project
  3. Commission the Washline Project and develop our current systems in the US
  4. Manage time and resources effectively to achieve desired results
  5. Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
  6. Liaise with internal and external suppliers and contacts
  7. Implement new policies and procedures as required
  8. Have an active role in occupational safety and health of employees
Requirements
  1. Degree in Electrical Control / Systems Engineering (or equivalent)
  2. Incorporated or Chartered engineer in Electrical Control / Systems Engineering (or equivalent) (desired but not essential)
  3. Minimum 5-10 years' experience in similar electrical control / systems engineering
Desirable Skills
  1. Extensive experience in PLC programming, logic control, HMI Interfacing Software, Script Writing and debugging
  2. Siemens and Allen Bradley control systems experience desirable
  3. Detailed knowledge of acceptance testing/system level testing
  4. Working knowledge of systems schematics
  5. Fluent in English and French (spoken and written) (desired but not essential)
  6. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
