Job Summary

The London Borough of Redbridge is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team in supporting the social, emotional, educational, and welfare needs of nursery/early years children.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work in partnership with class teachers to support the social, emotional, educational, and welfare needs of nursery/early years children in line with early years goals, codes of practices, and procedures.
  • To provide a stimulating, educational, and safe environment for children in which they can develop to their full potential.
  • To establish positive relationships with pupils and their parents/carers.
  • To promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task.
  • To interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills.
  • To provide support to pupils with particular learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory, or physical difficulties, have knowledge and make use of appropriate equipment/resources.
  • To promote inclusion and acceptance of children with special needs ensuring access to activities through appropriate clarification, explanation, and resources.
  • To attend relevant training & meetings.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in partnership with class teachers to support the social, emotional, educational, and welfare needs of nursery/early years children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide a stimulating, educational, and safe environment for children.
  • Knowledge of early years goals, codes of practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and their parents/carers.
  • Ability to promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Ability to interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills.
