Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric High Dependency Unit as a critical care nurse specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients requiring level 1 and 2 care, with occasional involvement in caring for level 3 patients until the Paediatric Critical Care Transport team arrives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality care to patients, meeting their holistic needs and promoting independence
  • Working closely with the Clinical Lead Nurse to ensure that care delivery and management of PHDU is implemented within agreed frameworks
  • Supporting the Sister/Charge Nurse in delegating nursing care within the clinical environment

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in PHDU or PICU
  • Significant experience as a PHDU nurse in charge
  • Able to interpret complex information and identify problems

Salary: £35,740 - £48,879 per annum
