Rheumatology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist with either rheumatology experience or transferable clinical skills to join our friendly and supportive Rheumatology Service at the Queens Hospital Burton.

The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides a full range of care from assessment to treatment of all types of rheumatic disease, including arthritis, connective tissue disease, degenerative joint disease, inflammatory arthritis, and more.

As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with radiology, neurophysiology, pathology, and immunology departments to aid our diagnostic service. You will also be required to assess, advise, and counsel patients who require treatment with disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (including biological therapies).

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable post-registration experience in a busy clinical environment, excellent record-keeping skills, and the ability to manage complex problems, prioritise workload, and work effectively as part of a team. Additionally, experience of running nurse-led clinics and nurse prescribing would be desirable.
