Job Title: AWS Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Education Horizons. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

About the Role

As an AWS Site Reliability Engineer, you will be working closely with our development team to ensure that our applications are running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and VPC.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting application performance issues to ensure high uptime and availability.
  • Collaborating with the development team to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with Education Horizons' information security management system and policies.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the development team on cloud-related matters.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Good understanding of network, firewall, and VPN technologies.
  • Desirable skills include familiarity with Education Horizons' products and school processes and procedures.
